Description from the publisher: The ruba’i is a poetry form already known in the West because of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam which, incidentally contains many rubai’s of Hafiz and Attar and other Persioan poets, including Oman Khayyam, for it was and anthology or poems collected down the ages and names after Omar Khayyam. The ruba’i is a poem of four lines in which usually the first, second and fourth lines rhyme and sometims with the refrain after the rhyming words. It is composed in metres called ruba’i (four) metres. Each ruba’i is a separate poem in itself and should not be regarded as a part of a long poem.
